Turquoise Painted Deer Skull Art

I found this real bone deer skull packed away in storage. Rather than toss it, or give it away, I decided to clean it ,and ask my girlfriend to paint it. She is a professional, award winning artist, whose turquoise paintings have sold for hundreds of dollars. You can see more of her art work at http://www.inartstudio.com/ This turquoise painted deer skull was so much fun, that we have started another one. And maybe in the end, we are somehow honoring the animal by recycling nature and giving it a second life.

This turquoise deer skull was a collaborative effort. I cleaned the deer skull and applied gesso to all the surfaces, even the back. Then Liana painted the front, top and sides with professional grade, artist acrylics. It was my job to take the pictures and create the listing. I think we make a great team.Well, I am off to hunt down more skulls. If you have any questions, just send me a convo.
